Fire caused considerable damage to a garage belonging to the city of Manhattan Sunday. $43,300 damage to the structure and contents is reported to the garage at 5166 Wildcat Creek Road, which was fully involved when firefighters arrived shortly before noon.
Damaged in the fire were a garage on the property, another garage on an adjacent property, a 1996 Crownline boat, a 2000 Coleman Bayside Elite camper, various tools, a lawnmower, and go-kart.
Manhattan, Riley County, and Fort Riley fire departments responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
