Hudgins Files For School Board Election

    Pat Hudgins

The race for the USD 383 school board election has gained another candidate. Pat Hudgins filed for candidacy Friday afternoon, and becomes the fourth person to file for a race that has three open spots. Hudgins says that she initially tried for a vacant seat on the board last spring, but fell short. However, that experience really sparked an interest in what she could possibly do in the future.

Her involvement in various classrooms in the area helped nurture that desire to do more, and Hudgins states that that same passion got people that knew her to encourage her to run for a school board spot. She says that it just seemed like the logical next step to file for the school board to see what she could do to help others in the district after gaining valuable experience in the classroom.

Hudgins has also served on various committees in the district, including the curriculum committee and a search committee for a new assistant principal for one of the schools in the district.
