    Big 12 land four on AP preseason top 25

    Defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma is ranked No 3 in the 2016 AP preaseason top 25. Followed by TCU at No. 13, Oklahoma State comes in at No. 21 and Baylor at No. 23. While Texas is receiving votes. The same five schools also appeared in the coaches rankings announced earlier.

    Defending national champion Alabama is Number 1 in The Associated Press preseason Top 25 as the Crimson Tide attempts to win a fifth title in eight seasons.

    Coach Nick Saban’s Tide received 33 of 61 first-place votes from the media panel and 1,469 points. Number 2 Clemson received 16 first-place votes and 1,443 points. It’s the first time since 1992 that Numbers 1 and 2 in the preseason rankings are the same as they were in the final poll of the previous season.

    Alabama is the preseason number 1 for the fifth time overall (2013, 2010, 1978, 1966).
