Officers responded to the report of an injury crash in the 2400 block of Claflin Rd. in Manhattan on July 28, 2021, around 12:38 a.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2015 Kia Forte driven by Nathan George, 19, of Junction City had hit a pedestrian in a wheelchair James Baugh, 67, of Olsburg while he was crossing the street. Baugh was transported to Via Christi in critical condition and later transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka for further treatment of his injuries.
