The month of November saw Manhattan set three records for daily high temperatures, according to data from the National Weather Service.

The first record was set on Nov. 15, when Manhattan saw a 73 degree high temperature. The second record was on Nov. 23, a temperature of 74 degrees. Another record was set on Monday, Nov. 29 when Manhattan hit 75 degrees. The warmest temperature of the month was recorded on Nov. 7 when Manhattan hit 79 degrees, falling 1 degree of the daily record of 80 set in 1999.

More records may be set this week as we enter December, with Wednesday (70 in 1998), Thursday (71 in 2012) and Friday’s (71 in 2017) record high temperatures all in jeopardy. The weather forecast, as of Tuesday, calls for highs of 69 Wednesday, 73 on Thursday and 66 on Friday.

November was also a dry month, with Manhattan seeing only 0.72 inches of precipitation. Only February was drier with just .05 inches of moisture.

For the year, Manhattan has totaled just under 26 inches of precipitation, well below the yearly average of 35 inches.
