    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on December 28, 2021, around 2:08 p.m. Officers listed Best Buy as the victim when it was reported three unknown suspects stole multiple Apple iPhones. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $4,600. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 400 block of Vattier St. in Manhattan on December 28, 2021, around 3:11 p.m. Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole her black 2011 Honda CBR250 motorcycle with purple ground and side lighting. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery in Manhattan on December 28, 2021, around 4:16 p.m. Officers listed a 35-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 58-year-old male suspect put his forearm on the victim’s throat during a struggle for a cell phone. Antonio Quinones Montejo, 58, of Manhattan was arrested in connection for aggravated domestic battery. Montejo was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated assault near the intersection of N. 11th St. and Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan on December 28, 2021, around 7:33 p.m. Officers listed 4- and 26-year-old males, and 9- and 26-year-old females as the victims when it was reported a 27-year-old male suspect pulled up next to them while they were driving and pointed a gun at them.
