    Michigan transfer Dug McDaniel commits to K-State

    Manhattan, KS – Jerome Tang lands a big commitment for his first out of the transfer portal and for the 2024 class. 5’11’ point guard Dug McDaniel, who played two seasons at Michigan, announced on social media his pledge to the Wildcats.

    As a freshman for the Wolverines, McDaniel scored 8.6 points per game after taking over starting duties for injured point guard Jaelin Llewellyn. As a full-time starter his sophomore season, McDaniel averaged 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He’s been a sold three-point shooter throughout his career. Shooting 36.3% from three over his two season. His 16.3 points per game was ranked 9th in the Big Ten. The 4.7 assists ranked 7th in his former conference.

    According to Rivals, McDaniel was the 4th best player available in the transfer portal. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
