    Therriana Pittman, 24, of Wichita, was arrested on July 12, 2024, at approximately 12:45 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Pittman was arrested on Riley County District Court warrants for failure to appear and probation violation.  The original charge in this matter was for distribution of opiates/opium/narcotics/stimulants 10>100 dosage units, distribution of marijuana 25<450 grams, possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/certain stimulant, possession of paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture/plant/cultivate controlled substance, aggravated endangering a child, reckless situation to child <18, and possession of marijuana. Total bond was set at $200,000. Pittman was confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report of theft in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on July 14, 2024, at approximately 11:21 AM.  Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a known suspect gained access to his cash app and unlawfully transferred money. Total loss associated with this report is $1,230.90.

    Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft by deception in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave on July 14, 2024, at approximately 4:01 PM.  Officers listed a 23-year-old male as the victim when it was reported he sold his 2016 Dodge Charger via Facebook Marketplace and was given a fraudulent check for the transaction by an unknown subject.  Total loss associated with this report is $28,100. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of larceny in the 100 block of Bluemont on July 14, 2024, at approximately 4:24 PM.  Officers listed Wal-Mart as the victim when it was reported two unknown subjects, male and female, scanned items but did not pay for them and displayed a false receipt for the items when exiting the store. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $2,535.02. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report of felony criminal destruction of property in the 600 block of Manhattan Ave on July 15, 2024, at approximately 12:04 AM.  Officers listed Radina’s Coffeehouse as the victim when it was reported a known subject broke a pane of glass at the establishment. Total estimated loss associated with this report is $1,000.

    Stephen Gassett, 37, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 15, 2024, at approximately 12:13 AM in the 000 block of Pride Drive.  Gassett was arrested on the probable cause offenses of burglary and interference with an LEO.  Total bond was set at $12,000. Gassett was confined at the time of this report.

    John Short, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested on July 15, 2024, at approximately 1:50 AM in the 400 block of 3rd Street. Short was arrested on probable cause offenses of criminal damage to property x 2 and Attempted criminal damage to property. Total bond was set at $5,000. Short was confined at the time of this report.
