An accident in Pottawatomie County resulted in serious injuries and a person life-flighted to Topeka Friday morning. Names are not yet available, but the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s dispatcher confirmed a car/motorcycle accident at the Highway 24/Blue Run Road intersection shortly before 6 a.m. The motorcycle driver was lifeflighted to Topeka as a code red, which indicates pretty serious injuries. KMAN will provide more information as it becomes available.

Johnson has served as chief operating officer of JVisions Inc. in Kalamazoo, Michigan, since 2012. Johnson also has served as vice president at Meijer in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she was the human resources leader for 60,000 employees in retail operations, supply chain and pharmacy retail. Manhattan area city officials, military representatives, and other dignitaries were accompanied by the famous Chick-fil-A cows, with shovels for the official groundbreaking and ribbon cutting of the soon to be constructed stand-alone Chick Fil-A Restaurant on Tuttle Creek Boulevard. An aggravated assault report was filed in the 200 block of Riley Ave. at approximately 7:30 Thursday evening in connection with an incident that occurred less than an hour earlier. The victim identified as 45-year old Jerry Morehead of Ogden reported to police that a suspect known to him had brandished a small knife in a way that was perceived to be a threat. The suspect is a 38 year old male who has not been arrested pending further investigation into an apparent verbal argument which had escalated.
