The Snow began falling at around 3 p.m. Saturday and continued through the overnight hours into Sunday morning. The storm is producing more snow than originally forecast with as much as nine inches of snow reported near Scenic Drive in Manhattan as of 12:30 Sunday morning while many locations across the city reported between seven and eight inches. Marcus Foster and Thomas Gipson scored 14 points apiece to lead four players in double figures and the Wildcats fought off several Gonzaga surges in the second half as K-State defeated the Zags 72-62 before 13,224 Saturday afternoon at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita in the 2013 Wichita Wildcat Classic. Additional details regarding the woman that crashed her vehicle into a house on Anderson Avenue, after fleeing from police, have been released. As KMAN previously reported, this incident took place around 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Log, Amber Dewitt (24) of Rochester, New York was identified as the driver in this incident. She was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center for possible injuries. Dewitt was driving a 2002 Hyundai Sonata. Three occupants were also in the vehicle with Dewitt during the crash. Defense attorney Michelle Davidson on Thursday asked a Buchanan County judge for 30 days to arrange a mental examination for Robert Jarrell, 39. Jarrell and another man, Martin Rilinger, are charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jason Davies, 38. His body was found near Leavenworth, Kan., on Sept. 19. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) Christmas came early for a Kansas Army National Guard member whose vehicle full of holiday gifts was stolen earlier this week. A Wichita dealership, Eddy’s Toyota, on Thursday gave Benjamin Lewis a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and Christmas gifts for his four sons. In September, an organization called Cars 4 Heroes donated an SUV to Lewis, who is raising his four children himself. The vehicle was stolen earlier this week, along with the presents Lewis had hidden inside.
